What you can expect from our reporting — and what we expect from ourselves.
Accuracy
We verify before we publish. Where information is contested or developing, we say so clearly. We do not publish rumour or unverified social media claims as fact.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are made independently of our advertisers and partners. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled and never appears in our news reporting.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and transparently. Email corrections@sydneyscoop.com.au and we'll update the story with a visible correction note.
Sources
We protect confidential sources. Where we use anonymous sources, we explain why and what we've done to verify their information.
Tone
Our headlines can be punchy and our writing can have personality — but we don't sensationalise, mislead or chase clicks at the expense of accuracy.
